The SOB* Chronicles

HomeA Day in The LifeJan 31, 2007
Thanks for dropping in and checking out the musical snapshots of this SOB*. I grew up in a little town outside the city of Toronto and like millions of other boomers, the music of my youth has remained with me. Especially, the music played on Toronto radio station Chum 1050. Each week we would gather at a local record store to pick up a Chum chart and see where our favourite song ranked in their top 50. (In August 1968 it became the top 30). So feel free and check out some of the playlists and discover the music playing in the Southern Ontario region of Canada on a particular date in history.

*Sad Old Boomer

This site is nothing more then a hobby for me where the music is for archival and educational purposes. Please use it for evaluation only and if you enjoy it track down an artist's CD and buy it. Lets face it some of these artists could use a little pension top up.

Unfortunately, I have felt compelled to switch my musical snapshots to contacts only. If you read the background to my musical snapshots, and would like to listen to them, please contact me. Cheers

Hi Ian!. Nice site pal. I remember CHUM myself, as I live just south of TO. I was also a huge fan of WKBW and Tommy Shannon, whom I've met several times. Kudos to you..

Thanks Janis, I had a great time on my holidays. I am physically home but my mind is still back on the beach and I haven't yet mentally returned to everyday life. Hopefully this week normality will return. :-)
